Someday We'll Go All the Way: The Bright Spots of 2009

DISCLAIMER: Yes, I know you could make a longer and more accurate video of the 2009 season with Alfonso Soriano dropped flyballs, Milton Bradley throwing the ball into the stands, Zambrano throwing fits, and Soto looking at called strike 3s... hahaha you are a true comedian

This video is intended to hit on the bright spots of 2009 and reinforce the hope that someday... well you know the rest...

enjoy:

Someday we'll go all da way yeah

someday we'll go all day way

I liked it. One o' these years one of us is going to have reason to do a highlight reel that ends in a WS victory and it's going to be two hours of Go Cubs Go looping over game footage.

I will always remember the Soriano walkoff granny. It was my first Cubs walkoff in person, despite being to many games.

Greatest Cubs live moment of my life. That was just awesome.

Good video, AF. Wish you'd had more material.

I couldn't hear it from standing room, but Soriano's home run ball makes an audible *clunk* as it hits the top of the batter's eye in center. Ball was hit so far and so high I thought he popped it up at first.

He freaking CRUSHED that ball. You just knew that ball was LONG gone as soon as he hit it.

Len sure didn't, and I remember people saying they thought it was a popup off the bat

P.S. thanks for the bump

I couldn't see the sky from standing room - from that perspective, where you can't see any higher than the bleachers, the ball just seemed to go straight up and disappear.

The misconception didn't last long, of course, but that's what it looked like.

Ah. I was working in the right field grandstands that day and was going to be one of the guys on top of the dugout after the game. I was crouched down by the dugout since the winning run was on third and as soon as he hit it I jumped on up. It was a freaking moonshot. I have no idea what Kasper was looking at.
