JaMarcus Russell only completed 12 of 33 passes for 128 yards last week but hilariously enough his QB rating for the season went up because he didn't throw any interceptions. It's now at 42.4 for the season. Also, his 48.5 that his put up last week was his highest single game QB rating of the season. His completion percentage is down to 39.8 on the year. Unfortunately, I'll get stuck with Raiders-Giants as one of my early games this week.

On a positive note, I've started watching Niners games because they're always on TV here and they don't completely suck.

Lucky you.

As far as the game this week its a big one. If we win and go into the bye week 4-1 having played without Gore for essentially 3 games we will be in really really good position. If we go in 3-2 we could come out of the bye week tied for the division lead. Its a home game and judging by how our defense has fared I would say we should be favored. Turner shouldn't do much and we have the LB's capable of covering Gonzo as well as CB's to cover White.

Miami's going to upset the Jets.

Other than that, there's like two or three good games this upcoming week. Mix that in with a Packers bye week and this week absolutely blows. And for one of those good games, here's this:

Not only that Flames but we both get to sit and watch Minnesota add to their division lead playing the hapless Rams. Thank God the Bears still get to play them. As good as the Vikings have been, after this week 3 of their games will have been against the Browns, Lions and Rams. The Bears still get the Browns, Rams and Lions one more time. The Packers still get the Lions (twice) and Browns.

We get TB too after the rematch against Minnesota.

These are the only games I have any interest in following:

1. Cincinnati/Baltimore

2. Atlanta/San Francisco

3. New England/Denver

and a very very slight interest in Houston/Arizona.

Other then that, the rest of the games can go to hell.

Wrong Steve Smith.

I'm with UM those are the only 3 games I really care about. There were only a few during the day this past Sunday I was interested in also.

Don't lay an egg Vikings. Just show up and don't screw it up.

Weeeee! Peyton gets to carve us up like a halloween pumpkin on Sunday Night Football.

We suck. I expect Vince to be the starting QB after the Indy and New England games. As for Sunday, Cortland and Jason Jones need to be back for us to have a chance to slow down the Colts.

i'm going to the game...i just hope it's not a blowout.

tampa bay should be an easy win, then we travel to oakland and should be 4-1 after that game. that's fine but the schedule gets much harder the rest of the way:

@washington

vs nyg

vs dallas

@ san diego

@ chicago

vs washington

@ atlanta

@ nyg

vs san fran

vs denver

@ dallas

I was going to go, but it's too much to shell out for tickets and then have to make the 2:30 hour drive just to watch us get hammered.

Now we'll probably win and I'll be kicking myself for not going.

That may be true. Still hard to justify the drive right now, though.

I'm still nervous about this one. Division game, Fisher always comes up with good game plans against the Colts, and I still don't buy Tennessee as a "true" 0-4 team. We'll see.

yea, i was just saying...i wouldn't expect anyone to drive a few hours to possibly see their team lose and move to 0-5...i know i wouldn't.

I'm kind of in a state where I wouldn't be surprised if they win or lose. The talent is still there to be a playoff team, but they've shown no reason to think they'll play to that talent level. So I'm just confused.

Here's how I'd rank the teams after roughly 1/4 of the season:

1. Colts

2. Saints

3. Vikings

4. Giants

5. Ravens

6. Pats

7. Broncos

8. 49ers

9. Eagles

10. Bears

11. Jets

12. Packers

13. Steelers

14. Falcons

15. Chargers

16. Bengals

17. Jaguars

18. Cowboys

19. Texans

20. Cardinals

21. Dolphins

22. Seahawks

23. Titans

24. Redskins

25. Bills

26. Panthers

27. Lions

28. Raiders

29. Bucs

30. Chiefs

31. Browns

32. Rams

Personally, after 22, everybody's done. And I don't like any team after 15.

Here are mine. I know a lot of people won't agree with them. I try not to let close losses cloud my judgement too much. For instance, I think the Ravens have an above average offense and very good defense even thought they've played like they have a very good offense and an average to above average D. However, the Ravens threw the ball way too often in their game against the Pats and because of that they were drawn into a close road game and eventually lost. I still think the Ravens are better than the Pats (albeit slightly)

1. Ravens

2. Patriots

3. Giants

4. Saints

5. Vikings

6. Colts

7. Eagles

8. 49ers

9. Steelers

10. Falcons

11. Broncos

12. Jets

13. Bears

14. Packers (internchangable with Bears, but homerism puts Bears ahead)

15. Bengals

16. Chargers

17. Texans

18. Jaguars

19. Cardinals

20. Cowboys

21. Dolphins

22. Titans

23. Panthers

24. Seahawks (healthy Hawks team is around 15-20)

25. Bills

26. Redskins

27-32. I honestly don't know how to rate these teams, they could all win between 0-4 games so they are all tied for last to me.
