I understand why everyone is freaking out, but I have absolutely zero concern about us winning this game.

Explain why?

I know the Bears are better than the Lions, but the Lions have managed to dominate our defense up and down the field, Stafford is making veteran throws. The Lions are playing with confidence, while the Bears are probably shellshocked that they are getting owned defensively on their home turf. Our offense has done close to as good but still you can't just say "they went 0-16 last year". If these were 2 random football teams you were watching and you watched the first half, who would you think was likely to win the game?

I know I'm a whiny pessimist so give me your optimism.

If we lose to this team at home its really going to put a damper on things.

One thing's for sure--the theory that you can re-coach a bottom-half D back into greatness is out the window. There's no substitute for younger, better players.

I just think the D will come out better, the rookie QB will look like a rookie QB, and Cutler will keep the offense clicking. I don't know, I'm just not concerned right now.

It's one bad half. It's not a top 5 unit but it'll be in the top half of the league, maybe top 10, at the end of the year. Efficiency wise it wasn't even that bad last year.

With the game being close Stafford is only looking for Johnson on pass plays, think Lovie' figured that out yet? Edited by gflore34

Brian Urlacher was cussing up a storm on the sideline. :-))

?

Reading his lips after Knox scored the TD, he was basically letting loose with a variety of swears and laughing about it.
