That's two uncharacteristically poorly thrown passes to wide open TEs on the last two TD passes. But both were caught. No harm, no foul.

That was definitely the right decision by the Bears.

I'm just not sure why you're comfortable running that play from the 1 but didn't want to run it from the 2.

Nice job Olsen going down and getting that pass.

I know, I thought he was gonna botch it at first. Phew, I would have been devastated if we got 0 points out of that, field position be dammed.

Maybe they felt like the defense would be forced to bite on the run from a yard closer in? I dunno.

Me either. Like I said, you are at home, and supposed to be the better team, go for it on 4th down before the penalty.

Well if you look at the Lions, they obviously sold out on the run. Not sure they would have done that from the 2 as I'm sure they know the Bears have had trouble running the ball in from within the 5 yard line.

of course hester is hurt.

Whatever it is it doesnt look serious. He took a good hit on that pass by the endzone

Hopefully its just a stinger. WR is one place where we can't afford injuries.

Greater chance the d will cheat up on the run when it's less than a yard - especially given the bears past behavior on the goal line

I understand that, I just think it would have been the right decision to go for it from the 2 and they probably would have had the same result. It was inside the 2 on the original 4th down.

Wait, so if his right foot and right knee are down inbounds that's a catch? If so, it is. I didn't know that though.

Knee down, but did he maintain control?

Foot and knee equals catch, only question really is if his hand hit out of bounds before the knee hit
