Yeah, that's true for me as well. A few weeks ago I was thinking about how I could swing another trip to Chicago to see the Blackhawks before the season ended.

 

Now I don't care -- just waiting for April 24th and 25th to get here, which is the first chance I'll have to see the Cubs in 2010.

I'm choosing to take the entire sample. The Blackhawks have proven themselves to be one of the best teams in their conference. The second half proves they aren't as good as they were at the beginning. But the first half proves they aren't as bad as they've been in the second half.

Well I answered my own question from yesterday. Blackhawks playoff tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10 AM. I will definitely be all over that. I don't care how bad they've been playing, playoff hockey is awesome.

What exactly is the point? You think the most recent results should be the only thing we consider. I think we should consider the entirety of the sample.

 

This team is clearly not as good as they looked for the first few months of the season. But they are capable of looking that good again at any time, just like they are capable of being this mediocre again for awhile.

As for tonight, I was asked to go out of town for work and didn't fight it. So my wife is going with a friend. I told her she still has to wear the Indianhead though. :-)

Worst case scenario you can't go and sell them for a profit. The Hawks could lose the rest of their games this year, with Kane and Toews both out with injuries and Huet getting announced as the starter for all games in the playoffs and you could still turn a profit on them.

I had a chance to go to the game tonight, but passed. Thank God. Losing to the worst home team in the league? Really? Again, the Campbell injury really was a backbreaker to this team. The defense already was struggling before it and then you lose one of your top four defenseman. It's tough to overcome that, especially when you don't have much depth at the bottom lines of your defense.

this team is not good. i'm not sure how they lost their goodness, but i know it was during the wild game. they can't skate and they can't handle the puck and they can't goaltend. how did they ever get this far?
