Those two weeks off for the Olympics are going to be awful.

Hockey is basically the only reason why I watch the Winter Olympics.

I watch the skiing. Always have. My dad liked it.

I'm really looking forward to watching the hockey tournament this year, since we'll be able to see it live or close to it.

Yeah, that will be pretty cool. Also, I visited Vancouver earlier this year for the first time. It will be kind of neat to see those Olympics where I just was.

Vancouver is on vacation to-do list. Just have to convince wife to go there during the winter so we can see a Hawks game.

Trib thinks Huet will start again tonight, and presumably Niemi tomorrow at home against Montreal. I think I would do it the other way, with as poorly as Nashville has played so far.

no unlicensed cabs and those guys in the coffee shops aren't smoking cigarettes.

actually, vancouver is a helluva a lot of fun. it's not even that cold in the winter. it DOES get windy, tho.

we cant get anything going on offense.

They just seem a little off, and when they do get something going, the puck starts bouncing on them.

i'm not watching because the online feed isnt working tonight, but it's going to take a miracle now

Oh my, the refs take away and then they give. What a crock goalie interference call on Nashville. Either Keith pushed him into the guy, Huet totally sold it, or both.

Whatever though, gives us a shot.

Awful. Just couldn't put any of those chances away. Puck bounced at the wrong times. Just one of those nights.

They've also got the largest collection of homeless I've ever seen. There's like an entire neighborhood of 'em packed shoulder to shoulder. It's a great place to visit though. They suck at utilizing the waterfront area, but the bike trails in Stanley Park are sweet.

I'm not sure how that got past the filter, but I LOL'd.

Oh wow I didn't even notice that. Haha.

I've got just a bit of worry going on right now that the Hawks haven't done just a little better with all the home games they've had early on. That's about to even out in a huge way. For an early season game, tonight is pretty big.

I really think they miss Eager right now. Not enough physical play, not enough energy.

What do you think of that Ladd hit? He technically didn't leave his feet until contact, but it still was quite the high hit. If the tables are turned, I'm probably mad about it.

Great win. That was one they deserved to take and it ended up working out as it should.

As for the Ladd hit, I agree, if it was the other way around I'd be pissed. He went high, regardless of whether he left his feet before the hit. He clearly did afterwards. I liked that he didn't take any crap during the scrum and was throwing some bombs at whoever came after him. In the end, I won't be all that pissed if he gets suspended for a game.
