Cubs won on a day the Cardinals lost for the first time since July 29, when the Cubs beat Houston 12-3 and the Cardinals lost to the Dodgers 5-3 in 10 innings.

Does Wells still have any realistic chance at ROY? Happ is hurt, so if Wells can score a few wins, I'd imagine that would help his chances. Of course playing for a non-playoff team doesn't help his chances.

I really hope they shop him around this offseason. I would think we could at least get a dependable bullpen arm or a decent prospect for Theriot and a low level prospect or cash.

Sadly, I don't think they will look to do anything with him, but give him the ss job again.

Seriously, any ideas why Bobby Scales is starting over Fox, especially in LF? This is the perfect time to see if Fox can play out there semi-regularly next year. Between Soriano and Bradley, he will have plenty of opp's next year, so why not give him all the experience possible right now when the games are meaningless? The ONLY way Scales helps us next year is as a back-up infielder, so what is he doing out in LF while Fox is on the bench?
