so Caridad, Marshall and Shark all suck.....who comes through the revolving door to make the next start?

Let's see if we can get Steve Trachsel back in uniform.

they threw the wrong guy out. the guy who threw it was a few seats to the guy's right that they showed getting tossed.

You have keen eyes. They played a report on the radio earlier stating that security did indeed detain the wrong guy, and the guy who threw the beer walked away. The report went on to say that the Cubs will issue a photo of the guy--with the help of the CPD and hope to prosecute him to the fullest extent possible.

We noticed this right away.

It's pretty sad that the game was an afterthought to me. That was pretty damn embarrassing.

Never said it wasn't observed right away, (even though someone else disagreed that they got the wrong guy). I guess this was just confirmation that security let the "bad guy" walk.

Is anyone a member of baseball reference Play Index?

The reason I am asking, is that I would like to find out how historically bad Aaron Miles season is. Right now he's on pace for just about 275 PAs and has a .492 OPS.

I looked it up, and without being a member, I can only get the top result. I searched from 1970-2007, and found that the lowest OPS during that time frame (having at least 275 PAs) is Rich Morales, who in 1973 had a .438 OPS for the White Sox and Padres. I want to see where .492 would rank among the worst OPS seasons of recent times.

I went to bed about 8 pm and not once did I feel the Cubs could win this game at all even with a old Pedro on the mound. I checked out the final score of the game and I hate to say it but it didn't surprise me. I love the fact that the Cubs pitching staff has giving up 10+ runs in three out of the last four games.

The Cubs are definately at the crossroads of their season. If they don't start showing some pride and start playing better baseball then September will be a LOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNG month. At this point, I don't care if they win or lose.

I bet Shark isn't even sent down after this train wreck of a game.

Seriously, hes got to be. With this train wresck of a bullpen, he needs to go and Caridad needs to go. Make room on the 40 man(why the hell does Chad "hes still here?" Fox still occupy a spot anyway) and give 2 of Gaub, Stevens, Berg, and Parker a shot. At this point, I have no reason to believe that Shark will ever be any better than Caridad or JR Mathes anyway.

I would certainly hope that the guy they threw out would get a free game ticket or something.

Please, he'll get a lot more than that. public humiliation on national television is worth more than a free ticket.

I thought the beer came from a different angle than from where the guy they threw out was sitting. But in reality, my dvr was the key in my investigative research of finding the true culprit.
