I really dont think people understand the importance of ARam to this lineup. Id say our odds are very slim we scored in that situation while ARam was on the DL.

Everyone understood the importance.

1st off Inari didnt write that, and secondly, no they didnt. People have not understood how we have been terrible with RISP and ARam being gone is a major reason. Besides the fact that Bradley has been hitting in the middle of the order like a 2nd grade school girl first attempting to play softball.

I'm listening at work, is Wells getting hit as hard as Pat and Ron are making it sound? Doesn't sound like a cheap hit yet.

Yup hit hard just like he has for a few starts in a row now.

Since we can't get a big bat, I just want to get a bat to platoon with Bradley and hit righties at least a bit.

Hoffpauier?

Yup its to the point of the season where either Bradley starts hitting, tries hitting RH against Rightys, or is sat in favor of Fox and Hoff against Rightys.

Wow I thought Ronny was about to argue Kerry's 20k game was better than Buehrle's perfect game..

that would have been a great who you crappin nominee there.

Wood's game probably has a higher game score because of all the Ks. It was a hell of a lot more dominant, that's forsure.

More impressive achievement is how they were discussing. But I can't think of a definition that would make me think Kerry pitched a better game that day than Buehrle did yesterday

I'd disagree with that... Like someone else has already said, Kerry's game was definitely more dominant. I can see why someone would always opt for the anomaly of a perfect game though (and by that I mean a perfect game is a team achievement since it requires 0 errors)

You really could make a case for either.

21 men put the ball in play against Buehrle yesterday. 7 did against Kerry.

why? I happen to think it was better. 20k games have been done 4 times by 3 pitchers, perfect games 18 times. Also the only hit in Woods game was a slow hit grounder just out of the reach of the SS. That bit of bad luck (where the ball was hit) was the only thing separating his game from a no hitter (or perfect game. I can't remember if he walked anyone)

If Wise drops the ball in the 9th inning and the batter gets a double/triple, does that change anything in your thinking? Or what if Orie fields the ball for Wood?

Wood shouldn't be punished because his fielder didn't make the play and Buehrle's fielder did, especially when Buehrle made his fielders make a lot more plays than Wood did.

That's exactly what I was driving at. Which one "pitched better"? I'd say Kerry...others will go for the perfect game 'cuz it's hard to argue w/ so-called perfection
