Angel Guzman got the start for the Peoria Chiefs on a rehab assignment in Geneva (Kane County). It went well:

1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 GO-0 FO. Approximately 10 pitches.

David Thomas grounds out to first base.

Dusty Coleman strikes out looking on (I think) 3 pitches.

Jason Christian strikes out swinging on a 1-2 pitch.

Come back soon, Gooz!

The starter went one inning? that sucks.

He's a bullpen guy; no need to make him go any longer than he has to go.

Yeah, what I meant though, was that I wonder why he was starting. That's just a weird way to do it, it would seem.

So he can get his work in right away and make sure he faces relatively good hitters. That's how late inning relievers do it early in ST too.

Anyways, the regularly scheduled starter for today's game can then come in in the 2nd inning and get going.

It's funny Len would say that, because from what I can tell, you can't buy a bat like that anymore. I've been looking online in recent days
