Yea, I can't decide if I misheard fifth for sixth, if they misspoke, or if Lou just changed his mind.

 

I don't remember if Soto was in the original lineup they reported. It might've been Koyie originally.

It would have been nice to face Faustoa Carmona and Carl Pavano this weekend. :P

So is this going to get in on time? I dont know about Wrigleyville, but Its pretty nasty looking in Skokie.

 

I'm thinking no way they start at 1:20...2:00 maybe?? Very dark here still with mild thunderstorms.

The OF/warning track has to be extremely wet. Fair amount of field prep work to be done I'm thinking.

It's pouring again. Game is definitely going to be delayed a while.

 

Yea and the Cubs and Indians only have 1 mutual off day and thats in Sept. Luke Steckmeyer(sp) from CSN says the Cubs are determined to get the game in today, and will wait as long as they have to basically.

It really doesnt matter. Our offense cant seem to differentiate between John Danks, Anthony Swarzak, Joel Piniero, and Gavin Floyd and Jake Peavy and Chris Carpenter anyway.

It really does look like it should stop within an hour, but the field has to be in terrible shape.

A couple quotes from Lou from Bruce's pre-game blog:

 

On Fox:

 

We're going to put him at third base against left-hand pitching and see what he does."

 

And on Guzman:

 

As I suspected, Angel Guzman is one of the Cubs' "tender" pitchers. Lou says he has some discomfort under his right arm that isn't serious and that he's taking medication for it.

Actually, it's supposed to be pretty nice out all day after this passes through in another hour or so.

 

But then again, Accuweather had this ending an hour ago.

 

 

The radar looks pretty clear, though.
