12-0 now. Still the third. This could end up being a bigger beatdown than the sox got the other day.

Mixed results for Rich Hill tonight against the Nationals:

5 2/3 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 6 K, 1 HR

Not terrible. One out away from a quality start.

too many walks though. still, it's not bad enough for him to get pulled from the rotation.

Yeah, he did have an acceptable number of K's though. Maybe he was just 'effectively wild', though. Obviously didn't see the game.

since the royals don't totally suck this year, i'm kind of hoping this is the year that they stop being the cardinals' personal punching bag during interleague play.

The Cards dodged Zack Greinke and we get Jake Peavy twice in a week and a half. Go figure.

Nick Stavinoha with a 2-run single and Todd Wellemeyer spinning zeroes. Nothing to see here, move along.

Down 2-0 early. But yeah, that'd be nice.

they also missed johan santana and danny haren in 3 game series and cole hamels in a 2 game series. what a crock.

You could spin it around and also say that the Royals didn't have to face Carpenter or Wainright. Ofcourse when they can't get a run in either game, it really doesn't matter who the Cardinals had to face. Greinke wouldn't have won either game.
