Hey, didn't get a chance to see Wells work today (or last week) can anyone tell me a bit about his outing today? His line suggests control problems, however no runs/XB hits are positives. How does his stuff look? Thanks and sorry for being too lazy to read this whole thread if the requested info lies therein. Edited by MWV

He was around his plate. He couldn't put away some hitters, got into deep counts and ended up walking them, but had a good looking outing.

Apparently the walks were due to a very inconsistent strike zone. A few ball 4's were obvious strike 3's.

Yeah, he definitely wasn't wild, and was very near the plate. A lot of movement on his fastball might have played a role, too.

I hate pulling Micah even if it was a lefty.

Yeah, Hoff vs. Wright sounds much better to me than Reed vs. any righty... Make a defensive swtich to start the 9th, but let Hoff hit
