Big win for the Blues last night. Scored with 6 seconds left to tie the game then won in the shooutout vs San Jose. Hopefully this win will jumpstart the team and get them going.

I've been waiting for them to kick it into gear for awhile and I agree this ought to get them going.

 

As it stands only 5 points out of the 8th spot with a game in hand. They have a good enough team to fight for that 8th spot. They won't go anywhere in the playoffs, but they should get there. Just need the scorers to start scoring.

Yeah they have the talent to make it as last year proved. Its amazing how good Eric Johnson already is. I thought he might get off to a little bit of a slow start after not playing all last year, but he has been amazing so far this year.

Cleary is now out for the Wings. That is 3 of the top 6 forwards, a top defensemen and Jason Williams who plays the point on the PP. The salary cap and injuries are really starting to take their toll.

It was fun to see the BJ's start hot, but they're playing terribly right now, and Chicago/Nashville are pulling away. They'll need to step it up to stay in contention for one of the bottom seeds in the West

The Blues just can't get their act together at home. Tonight against Edmonton were up 3-0 and are about to lose 5-3. Yeesh.

yeah it's really a challenge these days.

wayne simmonds should be everyone's favorite hockey player and everyone should be terribly upset that he's out for the next 4-8 weeks.

 

unless you're a fan of a team we play during that stretch. then you're counting your blessings that he does not terrorize you.

 

also jack johnson already has his career high in points and he's done it while (generally) playing a very solid, sound defensive game. obviously doughty has been the star, but johnson has been fantastic and has, at times, been even better than DD. also, he's almost a lock for a goal in the shootout, which is awesome.

as if it's not bad enough that the flyers are playing like crap, now goalies are standing on their heads against us. we actually played well the last two games but fleury was great on thursday and we lost in a shootout, and now lundqvist made 37 saves and gave up only 1 goal. hartnell is playing like garbage and carter has been lousy for over a month. [expletive] this.
