Jamaal Charles had 1,100+ yards and a 5.9 yards per carry last year. He didn't get the ball much at all until 6-7 games into the season.

In the last eight games he had 5 games over 100 yards including each of the last four games. He had 968 yards in the final 8 games and only got 20+ carries in half the games.

That's why they pretty much drafted McCluster as Reggie Bush.

If they used him like Reggie Bush there wouldn't be enough carries to go around between Jones, Charles and McCluster. Plus Charles is a very good receiving back. He had 40 catches last season in the half season of starting.

There will be plenty of touches to go around. Jones/Charles won't be healthy all year and McCluster will be returning kicks/punts and lining up in the slot.

And Tampa Bay trades up...

Do it Oakland. Take Jimmy. If they do Andy will likely shoot JaMarcus in an assassination attempt. He already despises the guy enough to hope it happens. If Jimmy goes Oakland he may make it happen.

Ok, NOW Tampa's picking Tate...right?

Arrelious Benn? I don't know about him. He's got the tools, not sure he has the head.

That would be fine by me and virtually every other Raider fan. Clausen can't be any worse than Russell.

EDIT: To clarify, I'd be fine with Andy taking out Russell, not the Raiders taking Clausen. I want a damn OT.

Neither Jones nor Charles are particularly injuring prone. Charles has had a few injuries but generally has been able to play if I am not mistaken and Jones has been one of the most durable RB's for the past 5 years.

Oakland is totally taking Bruce Campbell.

I predicted this a couple hours ago. Just happy they won't be wasting a first rounder on him.

Jones being durable for 5 years should actually be a red flag. This isn't MLB, it's the NFL, all running backs are injury prone.

That is about the dumbest thing I have ever read. All RB's are injury prone because they are all the same. Right.

man it's a good thing jimmy clausen played in that pro-style offense, or he might fall to the fifth round

No, they're all injury prone because they have 11 200-350 pound men trying to hit them as hard as they can every [expletive] play.

Someone once said that if a pro-style college quarterback does well in the pros, the college coach will get the credit. If a quarterback who doesn't come from that background succeeds, the pro coach gets the credit.

And I've never heard of Troup. This is getting nuts.

I understand your logic but it is well not logical. Sure RB's have a higher instance of injuries but to say like you did that Jones and Charles will not stay healthy simply because they are RB's makes no sense. A majority of RB's stay healthy. People are different. Reggie Bush is Reggie Bush and not Thomas Jones or anyone else. If someone has a track record of being healthy they are generally going to remain healthy.

Clausen and McCoy may both be available for Carolina at 48.

We won't pick them, but they'll be available.
