I like Bradford for his scary accuracy and quick release. Rocket arm no, but good enough. As much qb passing talents as Drew Brees and Tom Brady, does he have the skills up top to match theirs is the question in my mind. I like him better than Stafford when he came out.

Bradford's more of a west coast system QB. I don't think he has the arm strength to run an Al Davis system or much down field passing, but he can be excellent on the short to mid level throws and has shown to be a pretty smart QB.

I'm with you, dew. The Rams should go another direction with their top pick, whether it be Suh or Berry. No QB is going to be able to make the difference there right now.

Of the teams in the top 5, really only Washington needs to consider taking a QB.

I don't think the Rams should avoid taking a QB, I just don't think either of the top 2 are so much better than the next group that it's worth the difference in money they'll have to pay. Also, I think Suh and Berry are the best players in the draft and the Rams should be in a BPA mode at this point. If that BPA was a QB, though, they should take the QB.

And if I were Washington, I'd look in another direction than QB. Campbell's not a great QB, but if you give him a better running game, coupled with at least a decent O-line, I think he could be more than serviceable and could serve as a stop-gap while you infuse the rest of the offense with talent. If Okung or Anthony Davis are on the board at the Redskins' pick, I think they should go that way, to be honest.

Based on talent, I don't believe either of the top two QB's (Bradford and Clausen) are worthy of being drafted in the top five. (And probably not a top ten pick.) That doesn't mean I don't think either can't or won't make a quality NFL QB, I just don't think they are so good they warrant being selected there over players that I think are better.

I'd probably rank Clausen over Bradford and think he should be selected in the bottom third of the first round (though he will go higher) and would probably have Bradford in the lower third of the first to top quarter of the second (though I expect he will go much higher).

This draft is incredibly deep at some positions, but the high end QB talent isn't as strong at the top in my opinion as it has been. I like some of the other players a lot better than I do the top QB's, so personally if I were a team drafting in the top half of the draft, I would not reach for either Clausen or Bradford. I have a feeling that Washington may be tempted to do so, which as a Cowboys fan, I hope they do.

I'd be shocked if Suh doesn't go #1. But I'd be shocked if Clausen falls out of the Top Ten too.

Yeah, I don't think Clausen will fall out of the top 10. If nothing else, somebody will trade up to get him. And Suh should go #1, but I won't be shocked if he doesn't. The Rams could easily go QB with the first pick.

If they don't go Suh they will go McCoy. They are better off with that and taking LeFevour in the 2nd round.

I agree. I like the second wave of QBs (Brown, Tebow, Pike, McCoy, LeFevour, Hiller, Skelton) nearly as much as the top two. At least, that's what they should do.

the lions pretty much have to take a DT, right? their DTs are lousy and they have no depth there, plus there are two really good DTs (suh, warren) in the draft.

i guess they could also take okung to make up for the error of not drafting oher last year.

The Lions should be all over Suh if the Rams don't take him.

Yeah, Suh and McCoy are really good players and the Lions would be crazy to pass on either. I could see Schwartz seeing Suh play a similar role to that of Haynesworth in Nashville. Fast, rushing DT who opens things up to make the DEs better.

Front page of ESPN NFL page photo right now. I'm curious where it was taken due to the Purdue flag above his head.

Man, I have no height perception when I'm watching television. Tim Tebow measured in at 6-2. I thought for sure he was closer to 6-5. He's just as tall as Jimmy Clausen...

I can't wait to watch Monday's "1st and 10" with Skip Bayless. The guy acts like he's Tebow's publicist and the Combine spin should be pretty entertaining.

Tebow's not throwing at the combine. I think he's going to do everything else, but he's apparently significantly tweaking his throwing motion and, thus, won't throw at the combine.

He should do well at most everything else.

Hey, Brandon Crawford!

Hey, Brandon Crawford!

OMG. I was looking at that pic for literally 10 minutes last night. I knew I recognized him but couldn't place it. I went through every Big Ten team due to the banners in the back.

Judging from his shirt it is at the St. Vincent training center in Indy that is becoming really well known for training different muscles that give athletes a good boost in speed and jumping. It's where Landry trained prior to having the 36" vert at the NBA Camp. He said they are what turned him from a typical post player to an athletic mismatch post player.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of taking Dez if he is still available at 17. I doubt he is but if he is I would be very happy with the 49ers taking him. We could have Dez and Crabtree out wide and Morgan in the slot.

If Dez is still available at 17 there are about 5 GMs that need to be fired. He's a top 10 talent.

I guess you don't have to worry about the Raiders taking him then. Maybe if he was in the 20-30 range Al would be interested.

Unless he ran a 2.5 40 and did 425 bench press reps, of course.

I think he will fall into the 8-15 range because he will likely put up a somewhat slow 40 time.
