clausen's draft stock should drop because of that photo.

Poor guy has a look on his face that screams, "Dear God, I hope this doesn't get on the Internet". Probably praying to get drafted by a warm weather team.

One on the left is Tony Soprano's sister and the one on the right is the high school girlfriend from Rudy. Is anyone seeing this?

By my count, the Raiders are picking eighth (behind Cleveland and Seattle due to a tougher schedule) in the first round and as of yet, they haven't traded away any of their first couple picks which means they should have plenty of chances to take Tim Tebow, likely in the first round.

Unless Noel Devine declares, he is too fast for the Raiders to pass up.

Could the Raiders go McCluster in the first round?

McCluster's my hope for the Lions in the 3rd (after Suh, Iupati first two)

Iupati in the 2nd would be a ridiculous steal.

You think McCluster will last that long? 2nd round seems the latest he'd stay, due to explosiveness and playmaking ability (and teams looking for another CJ).

Iupati really should be the first guard off the board, I'd have to think in the first round.

I think he is going to be more like a Sproles type of guy, but a mid to late 1st round pick should be where he goes.

I could see him falling due to his size (though I'd rather have him than, say, Spiller or Devine who would be players similar to him). But I think he goes round 2 at worst.

Iupati will probably be drafted by a team intending to convert him to tackle a la Branden Albert in 2008.

at 5'7 168 it's a pipe dream to expect a CJ-type impact from him- i was thinking a role player more along the lines of Sproles

and OGs aren't really drafted in the first round very often, i'm struggling to think of many

with how terrible Albert's been, i'd figure there'd be some pause in doing that

edit: n/m jax beat me to the comp

True, but the potential to play at tackle will make him go higher than if he's solely a guard. His athleticism (especially for a guard) should let him go late first round.

Guards have been taken late in the first round. Looking back, Ben Grubbs was the last guard selected in the first round back in 2007. Logan Mankins was the last pick in the first round in 2005.

The Sproles comparison is more likely, but if he delivers a low 4.3 40 at the combine, a team may overdraft in hopes of emulating the CJ experience. I'd be surprised to see him go higher than the 2nd round due to size, though.

I hadn't thought of converting him to tackle. That'd be an interesting idea, but not sure it'd work well.

Could the Raiders go McCluster in the first round?

Normally I'd say no because they have Bush, Fargas and McFadden but it is Al Davis so who knows. Maybe he'll take another RB and just get rid of the QB altogether. Or he'll go RB in the first and Tebow later. Whoever the best player left on the board with the most speed is Al's likely target.

I wasn't serious about the McCluster suggestion, but like you said, it is Al Davis. They could take Spiller and run the triple option maybe.

I should also add that I'd probably prefer Tebow at QB than Russell if given the choice between the two next year. Of course, Al will probably stick with Russell and we'll be subjected to stories during training camp next year of how Russell showed up 30 pounds heavier than he was supposed to be.

Jimmy Clausen having surgery tomorrow on torn toe ligaments that he played on all season - not turf toe as originally reported. Makes his eye-popping numbers more impressive in my opinion. He'll miss the combine.

I hope he goes higher than that but I'll be happy as long as he doesn't end up in the NFC North.

I don't really expect him to be around either. Though he might get close.
