I had Cahill and Fowler start the season in the big leagues and Derek Holland was just called up too. That's 3/10 of my minor leaguers already in the bigs. Meanwhile, my expected opening day catcher - Jeff Clement - can't even get called up when Kenji Johjima goes on the DL.

Any team that is better than mine (which is most), I'm hoping that the roster bug catches up to them...

 

Of course when you have Dave Bush and Carlos Gomez as reserves, it really doesn't matter as far as someone having to unload a talented player.

I have one of my minor leaguers playing in the majors (Schierholz). But with the playing time he's getting (or, rather, not getting) he should remain minor league eligible for quite some time (at his current pace, all year).

My roster crunch is coming this offseason - Loney, Pedroia, Ethier and Lester will be out of exemptions.

 

I'd love to plug in Smoak, Fowler and Cahill for those guys and have acceptable results.

I haven't really looked at my exemption situation this year. I know I have another year with Soto, Ellsbury, Alexei Ramirez and Cueto, but Alex Gordon, Stephen Drew and James Shields might all be out of exemptions this year.

An 8.5 point lead plus a 7-6 remaining pitching start advantage. That's what I like to see. My Pirate hitters (McLouth and LaRoche) were good to me.

Alex Gordon is exempt after this year. Shields and Drew are out of exemptions. I'm not in too bad of shape, I guess.

As soon as David Price gets the call up I am going to be looking to trade one of my pitchers who has exemptions left if anyone wants DiceK, Kuroda, Owings or Lee, Bedard.
