CUBS were 2-1 on Sunday night baseball last year.........

Gm# Date Opponent Score Starter Opp Starter
.31 Sun 05/04 @ St. Louis N 3- 5 Marquis Wellemeyer

Another national TV audience, a good pitching matchup for our side, possibly a rain delay, and no Dan Iossagna behind home plate....... looks like another CUBS win to me :D

Go CUBS !!

Might have tickets to this one as well... looking for 3-0 at Wrigley this season! If we lose it's not my fault, it's the people I'm with. I promise I'll never go with them again!

Looks like I might be :not feeling well: for this game. I already suffered through opening day and I don't want to go through that again. Sorry Cubs, you're going to lose now because I'm not there!

Well, it rained pretty much all day here in OK today. I'm thinking the stuff is moving up yall's way for tomorrow. I don't have much to base this on but that's how it seems to happen in the spring.

I'm curious how early in the afternoon/evening they would give up on getting it in AND if it is postponed, what kind of options we'd have. I am praying a miracle happens and it's just light drizzle. We have company up from Florida who will be long gone by the time a makeup game would happen Monday. We also have someone going who has to leave Champaign for work at 3am. I would suspect with it being ESPN that they wouldn't push the start time much past 9pm would they? Does the city have a say in how late a game can start? Really want to go to the game but if it's for naught, I'd rather go grab a table downtown and enjoy a nice meal before heading back.

There hasnt been a dull moment in this entire series, and I dont see why this game would be any different. Do it Teddy. No home runs to Bernard Gilky, Lou Brock, Ozzie Smith, Rogers Hornsby, Mark Whiten, Dizzy Dean, Bob Gibson, So Taguchi, Elias Coblentz, Stan Musiel, Frankie Frisch, Ducky Medwick, Scott Rolen, Ray Lankford, Willie McGee...

Hey Fred, Im almost positive that the Cubs played a second Sunday Night game against the Sox at the Cell a week after the first game you've listed. Just FYI.

Yep, and we lost like 6-2. I remember a fake rally at the end.

I have friends coming up for this one, I really, really hope this one is played. I don't care if I'm getting rained on all night, I want to see some baseball.

You're quite right. It was 5-1 (Buehrle over Marshall) on 29 Jun 08.

Don't know how that got by me.

Well, in the Loop we're in the middle of that little dry-spot on the radar right now. I still don't think things look very promising but I called in and as of now everything is still a go.

If we're going to play this one I hope it's either played in it's entirety without any delays (unlikely) or we at least get through 5 before the rain becomes too much and we can make it official. I don't want to drag this crap out all night.

That one is against the Dodgers and doing some research, they're also on against the Cardinals again in July.

The game's been postponed for a day/night doubleheader on July 12th. Separate admission.

Only more expensive seats for tonight's game on tickets.com available. Has anyone ever successfully gotten tickets after a game has been called and used them for a makeup date in a situation like this?
