I have to choose between 13 starts this week. A bad choice or two could easily lead to a loss. We'll see how good my managing skills are this week.
You're describing me last week. If I had yesterday's starts by Lohse and Harang in my lineup and Cook's first start and Volquez's start on my bench things would have been a lot different (I'm not sure if it would have been enough for me to win, but it would have been closer and I would have outscored the entire West, I believe). This week I only have 7 starts scheduled, so I need to hope for no injuries and no weekend rainouts.

looked at my roster yesterday and noticed I only had six possible starts. After debating amongst the FA pitchers, I decided I liked Duke's matchup versus a Houston lineup that really only has El Caballo Grande as a quality right handed hitter (donut boy has no power from that side).

Guess that was a good choice. :D

That Astros suck, not too tough of a choice ;-). Only 7 games in and already a -27 run differential and averaging 2.28 runs per game :rotfl:

Another negative outing for Volquez (fortunately I lead despite that). I fear he may have a severe case of Dustyitis.

Lets hope it continues for at least this week. Two bombs by him significantly help the Screwballs.

I benched both Garza and AJB today. I'm hoping that by the end of the week that weather doesn't become a factor that keeps me from getting 7 starts. Just didn't like to throw them while pitching against each other.

Well hell, I bench AJ and Garza and Perkins and they all throw up 20+ point performances. Now if there are any more rainouts, I risk losing starts and not even getting my 7 this week. Poor decision making.

You must have picked up my poor decision-making from last week. :D

My pitching staff has gotten me 20.5 points so far this season, which is 10 points less than James Shields' last start. And yes, Shields is one of my starters.

Thankfully, it appears that Adam's team is off to slow start this week as I'm still up by 40 and we each have 6 starts left this week.

you only have five left...you've used greinke and ubaldo.

Are you using the new math or the old math?

i have four of the red sox position players on various fantasy teams...mike lowell is not one of them. so that's fun.

Nice 23 point night from Kinsler. Outscored the rest of my team by 3 points for the day.

Dare I say that he is the best non-Pujols RH hitter in the league?

Count yourself lucky that I benched 3 20+ point outings earlier this week.

i have him in another points based league that scores similar to ours...except we get 25 points for a cycle. so he had a nice 49 point day for me.

He's not the best rh hitter on your team.

I'm down 12 with an even start matchup the rest of the way. I'm hoping that for the rest of the week, either Woody or Rivera are put in save situations daily.
