That was awesome. I'm scared to get too overconfident, but it's clear the Flames can't match the Hawks' skill level, and they aren't even doing that great a job at playing more physical. Hassling guys like Havlat and Kane after whistles doesn't count.

And I have to say, I'm really glad that the Hawks aren't retaliating. They could very easily jab back and might even get away with a few considering how the Flames have gooned it up. But it's not worth the risk at this point.

Just keep doing what you're doing. And Khabi is a beast. The second goal was obviously soft, but I'm very confident with him in net.

Just the Havlat harassment alone should have resulted in AT LEAST 4 minutes of penalties. The thing that pissed me off was that he didn't even retaliate, he just took easily 4 crosschecks and 2 punches to the face without retaliation and nothing was called against the Flames.

Yet another reason that I believe in the NHL BIAS.

I don't know about that, but I do wonder how much of that the refs were going to put up with. After awhile it became painfully clear that they knew they could get away with a few jabs and were trying to draw retaliation penalties. You can't just keep letting it go. That's what I was pissed about. Havlat getting a penalty there was just ridiculous.

How are the NHL playoffs set-up? 2-3-2?

2-2-1-1-1

Oh alright so the Hawks need to take at least 1 of 2 in Calgary and finish it off at home.

Exactly. And right now, I don't see Calgary taking two straight games from the Hawks anywhere. I really hope my travel schedule allows me to see Game 5. I know I'll be on radio/online feeds for Game 4 unless my hotel has Vs. I'm starting to feel like Fred.

Win Game 3, lose game 4 on purpose and SMOKE THESE PUSSIES in game 5!

If only the Cubs hadn't done that in Miami...

totally down for this.... would love to see them clinch on home ice, though :-D

Never lose on purpose. Always try to win. The fans will get their cheers when the next series plays its first game in Chicago. Give no quarter, no breathing space, nothing.

That said, I predicted the Hawks would win in 4.

Just to clarify... I wasn't serious... more emphasizing how sick it would be to see the Hawks advance on home ice.

That being said, put boot on throat and let's sweep these bastards.

Great comeback. I loved how they choked off the Flames in the 3rd period. They didn't let them control the puck the Hawk's zone - they kept attacking, keeping the play down by the Flames' goal for large chunks of the 3rd.

Pretty hard to score the tying goal when you're playing down by your own goalie :)

I f'in love Blackhawk Playoff Hockey!

I just finally had a chance to watch the end of Game 1 again. What an atmosphere. I haven't seen the UC going crazy like that since the '98 NBA Finals, if then.

I love the fact that the Hawks are playing physical. Don't know if anybody knows but the Hawks have outhit the Flames this series by a good margin. Me likely. Keep playing physical and this series is short.

It doesn't feel like they have had the edge in hits and physical play. Maybe it's just because I'm used to bitching about that part of their game.

But I have noticed guys like Havlat and Toews working very hard and throwing hits. Kane is still doing his lame stickchecking. But he did get a few good scoring chances in the last game.
