the high stick was a pretty weak call to make at that point in the 3rd. capitals did a good of selling both calls though.

The "roughing" penalty was bogus. I think the high stick call was legit... this coming from someone who hates the refs and is a HUGE Avery apologist. He almost cost his team the game late in the 3rd.

i liked malkin running and then high sticking richards and then crosby cross checking him in the last minute of the game when down 3 goals... fortunately they don't play for the flyers so they won't get criticized for taking liberties when the game is over.

not only are caps fans douches, they are also liars apparently. and their security and writers go along with it. hopefully the rangers eliminate them and avery makes some hilarious post game comments similar to the fatso ones, only this time directed at mr. 600 shots a season puckhog.

I think that is why Toratello scratched him while they were up 3-1..a good Avery is a valuable asset. A pain in the rear Avery who is taking stupid penalties and punching goalies is only going to hurt the team. I think for the long term it was a good move by torteelloo
