They seem to think so. Even if he isnt this year, Hardys on a 1 year deal, and I doubt they'll re sign him next year, so theyd probably lik to get something in return. These guys really need pithing, and they have a god enough lineup that they coul move Hardy and get a decent pitcher in return, certainly better than 4 of their 5 starters. If they were willing to move Fielder and trust Gamel at 1st, they could get something much better, but I dont think they're quite ready to do that.

Hardy still has another year of arbitration left. They could always keep him for another year until he hits free agency after the 2010 season. If they truly feel Escobar is ready, they might trade Hardy anyway just to get the best value for their ballclub, but they don't have to worry about losing Hardy at the end of the season.

This is a stupid question, but why isn't Marshall pitching? I don't know since I've been on vacation for a week and I'm still catching up to all the news.

With all the off days at the start of the season Marshall won't be needed till the end of the month. Z is going on full rest.

Anybody know if this will be shown on Extra Innings?

I'm not seeing it on the DirecTV listings, even though it should start after the Fox exclusive window.

It is on Time Warner Cable's EI.

If this is true about Hardy, I'm pretty sure I'd rather trade for him than Peavy.

I cant see them tradin him to us, especially considering we really dont have much to offer them. Theyd want at least a number 2 or 3 type starter. However, he would be a nice off season signing, even though Im not one of the Theriot haters.

Hmmm, well maybe it'll pop up closer to gametime.

Make it 2-0 Big Z!

Is it just me or does the Hawks player in the lower right corner of your sig look like Tom Cruise in that picture?
