Question about Miller Park seating

Those of you familiar with Miller Park....

Does it have an actual "bleacher" section with the grandstand metal bleacher seats and stuff? My wife and I would possibly like to go to a game there in May and would possibly like the bleacher experience.

I sat in RF once several years ago, but those were actual seats.

It's been awhile since I've been around that area of the ballpark -- I do recall sitting on bleachers in right field on one of my trips, but that was awhile ago and before Attanasio bought the team and starting making changes to the park. Looking at the Miller Park seating chart on brewers.com, there are two levels of bleachers -- "Field" and "Loge". Both sections are usually $20 for individual tickets, but go up to $30 for the Marquee Games (which includes the Cubs and White Sox this year...kind of interesting because I always remember the Mets and Twins series also being "marquee").

I wouldn't recommend sitting there unless you feel like dealing with the drunken obnoxious UWM students who don't know much about the Brewers other than the fact that Ryan Braun is good and they're supposed to boo everything Rickie Weeks does, though...but those are probably the majority of Brewer fans that decide to show up for series against the Cubs. Sadly, most of the baseball-loving Brewer fans like to stay home during those series for obvious reasons.

Yes, they are metal bleachers. Don't sit there. Like B&G said, its full of idiots. Not to mention, if its a day game, the sun is in your eyes the majority of the time. Also, the seats just suck. They're not comfortable at all. Sit behind the plate in the upper tank, at least your seat will have a back.

If you do sit in the bleachers, pick the Loge instead of the Field. Field sound good, but they are covered by the Loge level, similar to the 200 level at Wrigley.

They are good for heckling, however, as they are above the bullpen. I once heckled the Marlins bullpen so hard, they found me entertaining. I got an autographed baseball from Antonio Alfonseca and Vic Darensbourg. Strangely, Cooperstown has not yet called me for the ball.

The one nice thing about those bleacher seats in LF are the home run balls during batting practice.

During the game there are better places to be.

Also -- there are foul-pole obstructed seats in that section. And they really suck, to the point where people who get them try to squeeze into other areas, generally making life miserable for everyone else.

when I go to miller park I am typically too wasted to even find my seat. I may be crazy, but due to the tailgating experience, I'd rather go to a game in Miller Park than in Wrigley.

Your not crazy at all, I much prefer the Miller park experience compared to Wrigley. I get to Wrigley about twice a year and about 10 to 12 at miller. Nice stadium with crappy fans=good seats for me. Not to mention heckle them when the cubs have a 10 game lead in the division.

Can a true Cub fan say that? I'm not saying that you can't be, I just wanted to ask the question.

I love tailgating, and that is about the only thing I like about Miller Park. To me it is quite a sterile environment, even when the roof is open you still feel like you are indoors. I would take the wrigley experience with all of the wonderful bars and eateries in close proximity to the ballpark than Miller Park.

I agree with that. The retractable roof equipment definitely takes away from the outdoor atmosphere when they have it open. It is a rather sterile environment inside. But I still enjoy it. It has different good things than Wrigley -- but IMO it's not close to the Wrigley experience.

Um yea, just because I like Miller park more than Wrigley doesn't change the fact im a die hard cubs fan. There are several factors, price for one, also it takes 15 min to get on the highway compared to 2 hours leaving Wrigley. I love the history that is Wrigley and I do enjoy the games but I dono there's just something about Miller that I really like. I've been to the new Busch, the Juicebox, Arlington, and several more newer parks that I feel just muh about to so take that for what it's worth.
