Given the rumor about viciedo having a shot at making the team this spring, I was thinking of drafting him with the 12th round pick hoping that he would have made the team. But that's not the skirting the rules part.

 

The skirting the rules part was that I knew I had traded away my pick in this draft, so I was thinking of taking him even if I'd have to drop him on opening day. That way he wouldn't have been in the prospect draft and if he came up to the Sox later in the year, I'd have a shot at getting him on waivers.

 

THAT would have been skirting the rules. ;)
