ghs trades its 2009 8th rounder to nsbb for nsbb's 2010 6th rounder.

ben sheets for my 7th round pick.

I'd imagine this is like the Clemens situation of 2 years ago where you will have to keep him on your active roster and can't DL him because he's not even on a team's DL.

ok, that sounds kind of ridiculous.

That's how Clemens was handled a couple of years ago.

Someone will give Sheets an incentive laden deal. Heck, Sheets thinks he'll be pitching after the all star break. I don't see it the same as Clemens, who was basically retired.

If Sheets is signed by somebody before the season begins and placed on a major league DL then he's eligible for the DL in Roadkill. If he rehabilitates while being unsigned then he isn't eligible for a DL in Roadkill. The rule has always been (at least since I've been in the league) that a player must be on an MLB DL in order to be on a Roadkill DL.

that's stupid. he's hurt. he's not playing. the reason he's not on a roster is because he's hurt. it makes no sense that i can't keep him on my DL, but if he signs with a team tomorrow i can put him on the DL.
