We suck. Pure and simple. What can we all expect, as Cub fans. Chicago is the most pathetic sports city in the country. Think about this city without Jordan.

Seattle fans say hi.

Chicago is one of the best sports cities in Chicago and each team except the Blackhawks have been successful this decade. It's just been a miserable year with the Cubs and Bears in 2008.

Maybe successful in terms of making the playoffs I guess

Bulls have made the playoffs in 3/8 seasons this decade and have won 1 playoff series

Cubs have made the playoffs in 3/8 seasons this decade and have won 1 playoff series

Bears have made the playoffs in 3/8 seasons this decade and have won 2 playoff series and advanced to one championship game

Blackhawks have made the playoffs in 1/8 seasons this decade and won 0 playoff series

So Chicago teams are 10/32 in making the playoffs and are 4/14 in winning playoff series this decade and have advanced to 1 title game and won 0 championships this decade.

That's far from a successful decade by any measure.

Who cares about the playoffs? It's about championships.

We know about the Cubs.

The Bears have one 1 championship in like 40 years

The Sox have one 1 championship in like 50+ years

The Blackhawks haven't win since...I don't know because I don't really follow them...but its been a long while.

Thank goodness for MJ.

And the Bears won't be making the playoffs in 2008.

9-7 is ok I guess

yeah, I was expecting 6-10, but the way they got to 9-7 made me hate them

I think the White Sox won the super cup or something like that. I think it was 2005.

No, I think you are mistaken. You must be thinking of the Rush.

LOL Tommie was trying to jump the snap. When times were going well like in 2006, he would have gotten it perfectly timed and sacked the QB, but it just looks embarrassing now.

Don't forget, the worst franchise in the NFL used to be in Chicago and hasn't won an NFL championship in... a really long time

I'm not mad about how the season turned out. I like the coaching staff, I like some of the young players, I like the fact that we are set at TB, I trust our front office in the next draft.

The only thing I want is for this defense to shut up and stop living on a few years ago. No more whining about disrespect when we all know you aren't good.

Ballgame.

Is anyone really surprised it ended this way? I mean, really?

Babich needs to go. Sign Cassel. Coach up the D.

Oakland won. LOL

The Cubs haven't won in 100 years (longest drought in the MLB)

The Bears have won 1 championship in the last 45 years (and its been 23 years since their last)

The Sox have won 1 championship in the last 91 years.

The Blackhawks haven't won in 47 years (longest drought in the NHL)

The Bulls haven't won in 10 years

well, i'm not happy with the way this season turned out. the bears have a long way to go, with a perfect mix of some run-of-the-mill young players and aging veterans, no receivers, a bad line, no pass rush, and still no quarterback without much hope at getting one.

i think the coaches are gutless and i have no faith in angelo to find a player to fill one of our many many holes.

the ironic thing here is that lovie is a coach who preaches pressure with the front four but gets none, and instead of going after a pass rusher in the next draft, i bet angelo and lovie go after some useless ofensive player with the first pick---after trading down to pick up some extra guys in the 6th and 7th, of course.

When you look at how flawed this team is in nearly every phase of the game it's a wonder they won nine games.

Besides our special teams and linebacking corps, is there a unit on the team that's even in the top half of the league? I guess the tight ends are good.

In the era of 30-team leagues, measuring by championships is a really stupid way to measure. You'll win one every three decades on average.

Yes, and no team in Chicago with the exception of the Bulls have done that. It is pathetic. Especially considering the big market. It's one thing to suck in Memphis or Tampa, its another to suck in Chicago.

The running backs aren't bad. The defensive line is probably straddling the line between the top half and the bottom half.

A good defensive draft and this team wins 11+ games next year.

Maybe if they just manned up and cared more about the fans...

I can't do it. Sorry, I tried.

Jerry Angelo signing Cassel. That would be funny. He'll say we're trying to develop Caleb Hanie.

They should've gotten Drew Brees a few years back when we had the chance too.

Forte is very good. Peterson isn't what I really have in mind as his primary backup. The Bears should do better there.

The defensive line cannot generate a pass rush to save its life. It showed it can defend the run well but was inconsistent at that as well.

I think we should go pass rusher or wide receiver in the first round of the draft.

The defensive line is night and day between pass rush and rush d. The rush d is fine, the pass rush is laughably pathetic considering we are paying big money to Ogunleye and Harris and pretty good money to Alex Brown too.
