local radio reporting that if OU wins the B12 title game, that the Fiesta Bowl is set as Texas vs. Ohio St.

If that's the case, third time won't be the charm for OhioSt. They're liable to get their ass handed to them again.

there's some talk that the bcs might try to make the fiesta utah and ohio state and the sugar texas vs alabama

well as I said, the local sports radio in Columbus said that OSU vs. Texas is a done deal if OU wins tomorrow

First off there making that prediction before Alabama even plays Florida which is ridiculous, but I Florida will win, but those two match ups would be 10x better than Ohio State playing Texas. I actually think Ohio State would lose to Utah

I seriously doubt that.

I bet you it will be a lot closer than you think

I would rather see this than OSU. Already played OSU twice the last three seasons. I honestly can't remember the last time Texas payed Alabama, plus its a much better matchup. Two teams that were on the brink of the title game playing almost what would be a consolation match. Plus the top two Big 12 teams vs. the top two SEC teams would be cool.

Texas and Alabama have met 8 times. Texas is 7-0-1. The last meeting was the 1982 Cotton Bowl. #6 Texas beat #3 Alabama 14-12.

Bear Bryant went 1-7-1 against the 'Horns. That win was with aTm.

BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II. United States Ranked 4th

After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."

German Chancellor Adolph Hiter said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Hitler protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented " France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines.

You're going to love when I post the bowl game thread. I included all the sponsor names as a commentary on how ridiculous they look when typed out.

I'm leaving for Detroit shortly. I'll be on the sidelines. Go Cards.

I'm pretty sure we're going to put up some points, but Bradford's hand is the only avenue to the game being close at the end. Hopefully they aren't as effective without much ability to go under center, and if Mizzou can get around the line and hit Bradford a few times, maybe he gets knocked out of the game by landing on that hand or something.

If that happens ask yourself this...Is the Oklahoma back up QB any good? I've never seen him, but if he's at least OK can Mizzou horrid D make it a closer game if Bradford gets knocked out?

I said this to my friend this week - we're going to need to score points on D/Special Teams, and when we're on offense, we need to control the football. I want Washington getting 25+ touches. If there's even a chance of us winning, it's not going to happen if our D is on the field more than our O.

I was wondering this too. IMB, any insight to your backup?

He's ok. Last year he was one of the triplets fighting for the starting job with Nichol and Bradford. His only real experience was in Lubbock last year after Bradford got hurt. He started out slow but ended up throwing for 291 and two touchdowns.

I guess he went 14 of 16 against chatanooga, but that's about it for him. He's a pocket guy, decent arm, not a lot of mobility. I'd say he'd be ok for a half against a defense like Missouri's if we needed him.
