Yeah, pretty much non-news, but its not like there's a ton of riveting conversations going on in this forum right now.

Hendry already has made three moves this off-season—picking up Rich Harden's $7 million option, declining Henry Blanco's $3 million option Friday and firing Fukudome's interpreter, Ryuji Araki. Hendry wants to find an interpreter who jells better with the Japanese outfielder.

I wish I could speak Japanese. I could probably jell with him. He could teach me how to do Fukucopters.

lol

oh god, I don't miss seeing those at all.

If I had any sort of computer skills, I'd make a .gif of a Fukucopter, throwing some video in there backwards to make it look like he was doing a complete rotation.

Does he really want to find one who would jell better with him, or is he setting the stage to buy him out so he can go back to Japan.

I know, probably the former, but I can hope, can't I?

I think the problem was that every time Lou told Fukudome not to swing at everything low and outside, the translator said the exact opposite. Clearly, that was the issue.

I thought there was no way it would take two days for a comment like this.

This is the obvious reason for his struggles. /green font color

I thought it was odd too, thus I ended everyone's suspense.

Awful translations

Kosuke's interpreter sucked

Gutless choking dog

I think you have an extra syllable in line 2

You must be one of those people who says Ko-soo-kay

Kos-kays in-ter-pre-ter sucked.

7 syllables

Grammar pwn.

Ko soo kay is the correct way to say it, however.

It's a pretty subtle u sound that I feel could easily be glossed over for the sake of poetic expression.

also requires having "sucked" as one syllable. Everyone says "suct," I know.
