Florida and Georgia have been penalized all season long. In fact the year they won the NC, Florida was 119th in the nation in penalties. As for the receivers, speak for yourself, but I'd drop a lot of Staffords passes too.

yeah, he throws bullets. I couldn't believe that pass on 3rd and 19. I thought he was toast

hes the only QB in the SEC who makes Tebows arm look average. Both guys throw a fabulous deep ball. Staffords gotta be the best vertical passer in the country. Tebow is just as efficient, but he's able to loosen coverages by his step up play action thing he does, and he has better receivers.

pushing my bottoms???

Looking back at it, it does sound creepy. That's what I get for watchign freakin Law and Order: SVU.

As for his public persona, people want to call Nick, "Satan" and all these ridiculous statements about his character, but what people don't realize this guy is well respected among coaches (if not feared). Players and their families absolutely love Nick Saban because he is a straight shooter (the Miami situation was a lose-lose for him. He answer's those question and people think he leaves for Bama, if he doesn't answer then think he leaves for Bama, it was impossible situation, and he wanted to get the season over before he talked about his future at that time). I'm not saying Saban isn't without flaws, but Saban isn't this monster the media has made him out to be.

This is why I defend Saban. People who don't follow Alabama football, or live in the state of Alabama they buy into the media perception of Saban that he is this money grubbing monster, which in reality is the furtherest from the truth. Nick Saban is a good man, prolly a better man then most---including myself---on this board. My question is: why is Saban criticizes still today for leaving the Miami Dolphins job AFTER THE SEASON, yet Bobb Petrino---after a brief Howrystorm---was basically given a pass for quitting on the Falcons DURING THE SEASON. So, I will defend Saban even if he does decide to leave for another school. Which is why I am perplexed at LSU fans (out of the view smart ones, like vance) Saban did more for LSU in 5 yrs then the previous coaches over the last 20 yrs. LSU was with the likes of Vanderbilt and Kentucky before Saban got there, and with Saban's help and recruits he help bring in, LSU has won 2 NT.

People need to stop hating on Saban, and appreciate how great of a coach he is.

I don't think people have a problem admitting Saban is a good coach. He just happens to be the biggest manwhore of a coach in college football. Not to mention he was pretty much immediately reported for recruiting violations the minute he stepped foot in Alabama, but this is really nothing new to Alabama.

If he went to Auburn instead of Alabama you would not have the same opinion.

hadens fast

he runs a 4.31. and hes like the third fastest DB on the gators and eigth or ninth on the team.

And he's good at holding!

You'll have another next year.

IT'S A FINAL! Arkansas 30, Tulsa 23. So proud of the defense. They made big stops in the red zone. Johnson got 324, but hey sacked him 3 times and picked him off once. Meanwhile, Dick got 385. Smith had a rough game with 23 for 69. DJ Williams had 6 catches for 128, and freshman Jerious Wright took his turn in the freshman receiver big play rotation with 5 catches for 113 yards.

This is all I wanted. I didn't think they'd be great, but I wanted them to be competitive and improve as the season went along. That's exactly what they've done. Thisis team may be ready to take on their stupid schedule next year after all.

I will say this, I have been very impressed with Florida today. They look unbeatable if that defense were to be as dominant the rest of the year as it has been today.

Yeah, this is completely and totally wrong. Bobby Petrino was ripped to shreds by the media after he quit on the Falcons, a hell of a lot more so than Saban was for leaving Miami.

I didn't even see that. The week he left the Falcons, ESPN suddenly became the Petrino Network. That statement is so wrong it's laughable.

This game has been officiated poorly and one sided. Not sure how much of a difference it would make, but pretty sad to see this happening to what should have been a great game.

How does Tebow project in the NFL?

He's a very good passer, who knows how much of his passing efficiency is tied into his ability to run the football. He won't be able to do that in the NFL. He's not like Young, McNabb, Moon or Vick. He'll try to take on NFL linebackers and he will get banged up a lot. Someone will take a chance on him. He's got NFL arm strength and has nice touch on the vertical passing game. If it doesn't work out, he'd make it as a fullback.

f.u.l.l.b.a.c.k. is getting starred out? What the hell?

  I remember that happening last year. It's because it has f, u, c, and k in that sequence, with the f (and possibly the u) first and the k (and maybe c) last. let's test it out.

Illinois with a huge defensive (yes, really) play to make it essentially a 5-score game, the way it's going.

EDIT: Which just furthers the idea that teams 3-8 in the Big Ten are largely interchangeable from week to week.
