That's a kickass uni. I'd like to see that one again on throwback day.

If that picture was taken at US Cellular, I was at that game.

Wasn't he a converted infielder or something? I do remember he had a big curveball, right? Man, that is tough to hear. He was a decent pitcher, always wondered what happened with him... May his memory be eternal.

Shortstop/third baseman before being converted.

I've got an autographed baseball from him. My parents used to run an athletic club in Bradenton, FL and he lived there for a while and had a membership at their gym. Met him a couple times. Extremely nice man, always liked him as a Cub. This is sad news.

RIP

I believe Foster pitched the first Cubs - Sox interleague game, which is when that throwback uniform picture was taken (both teams wore 1906 replicas).

Ryno smacked one off the wall that game, if memory recalls.

If he'd been on 'roids like a good major leaguer, he'd have had a homer!

RIP, Kevin. My mom and I always admired Foster --- always looked like he was having a great time out there.

His changeup was his out pitch if I remember correctly.
