  1. I love PCA. He has all the potential to become a Hall of Famer, and I believe the greatest CF of all time, even dare I say passing Willie Mays 156.2 He'll need to stay great, healthy, and some luck. Babe Ruth's 182.6? He faded last year because he wasn't used to so many games. He needed a day off here and there recently to stay sharp. Counsell didn't give him the rest he needed, rather played him DH for 3 games. Since then, PCA has regressed, he's not seeing the ball well, seems apathetic, is swinging at pitches 1-2 feet off the plate again, and tantrums are lurking. I hope he gets rest needed, finishes strong, and Cubs make a deep playoff run.
  2. Because he's a Gold Glover, the players go into prolonged slumps because Bad Counsell doesn't know how to manage days off. They all have slumps, it the managers job to help them minimize them.
  3. Cubs were on a roll and had a chance to catch the Brewers by Monday. Deep rested bullpen. Gausman was pitching great but was out of gas and threw 80 pitches after 4 innings. Nobody warming up, he gives up a run, Nobody warming up, gives up 2 more runs, Nobody warming up, gives up 6 runs, game over, team deflated. Box score shows 6 runs charged to Gausman who pitched a great game and should have been out after 4 innings or 1 earned run. Bad C. can't manage a bullpen and costs Cubs 5-10 wins/year. Crap like this starts losing streaks. Makes you wonder if Bad C. is just a tool, and a 16 year old analytics kid tells him what to do.
  4. Because Bad Counsell is clueless and like to let vets pitch batting practice, even when they need a stint on DL or minor leagues, or demotion.
