It feels like we were engaged to the Cubs this year. We were all in love with them, and tonight they dumped us. We don't know how to ever have the same feeling with them again.

This sucks.

Did anyone else see the celebration the Los Angeles Howrys had, and think "Why can't that be us for once?"

I always switch the channel immediately after the last pitch.

Sorry. I seriously feel awful for all of you, and I really didn't care who won this series.

Keep your heads up, they'll be back. One day they'll win it and it will be that much sweeter.

I'm only 20 and I realize we're never winning a World Series.

I've never seen a winning season for the Reds. I feel your pain.

funny this cubs team kind of reminds me of yankees teams of recent years in the playoffs...a lineup that in the regular season was top to bottom solid as heck...but then does nothing in the playoffs. too bad torre's team wasn't the one to choke this time around.

I cant. I have to see how much better the other people are.

Didnt take the trolls long to post on various Cub and Sox message boards all over the internet.

Then you've been a fan for eight seasons or loss, so no you don't.

It sucks, but [expletive] happens. It WILL happen eventually.

The really crappy part is that this team probably won't be all that good in 2009.

I know. Next yr's club reeks of a 82-85 win season, if Hendry keeps the core players players together.

This is horrible. I feel so depressed, it's undescribable.

We better make some changes, like getting a real leadoff hitter.

It's all easy. Send Soriano, Theriot, and some spects for Reyes.

And how are we not gonna be good next year? Care to explain? Hendry will not sit tight with this happening twice.

I do think that has to be a top, if not number one, priority... get a leadoff hitter that can get on and steal some bases.

This was the headline posted on the Cubs Wrap on MLB.com

End to great season

Are you kidding me?

Carrie Muskat also wrote it was a great season. I didn't know the entire seasson ended after 162 games.

How about Biggest Disappointment Season?

I don't care one bit who is gone for next year.
