It took me a while to figure it out, but Lou obviously left Dempster out there so long because he wanted to get out of the extension?

 

Look at what the bullpen is doing and you will understand why Lou left in Dempster.

I posted in the last regular season game thread that I was concerned with the way the team was playing because it seemed so lackadasical and people said it was no problem. It kinda seems like it was concerning for a reason.

why not just go to marmol

 

NO reason to show them Marmol when we're trailing. The starter didn't go deep so this is what you get.

 

I know that's the strategy, but it is like waving a white flag.

This sounds weird, but Soriano has played respectable defense

Yeah, he's saved a couple hits, at least compared to what the regular season Soriano would've done.

Im not actually watching the game at this point so I dont know if he's made an apperance but they may was well bring in Howry to pitch the 9th.
