I bought Dodgers playoff tickets with the intention on selling them. But if the Cubs wind up playing them, I might just fly out there for a game. It's on a Saturday night, and I've got a couple friends in LA. Why not?

Same with me I have a place to stay in LA,Philly, Arizona and Milwaukee if it makes sense to stay the night, but I'm working on New York for a place to stay.

I'm definitely going to LA or Tampa if we play one of the two in the World Series. (I already have tickets)

If we play the Mets in the LCS (I know it's unlikely at this point) I'll definitely make that trip too. Milwaukee is also a given for the LCS.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to travel for any NLDS games. My mindset after the NLDS games will be one of these two:

1.) I'm happy we advanced to the LCS, but then reality kicks in and I realize I'm broke and can't financially justify going to the much bigger series' about to take place.

2.) I'm depressed/considering jumping off of the Lasalle St. bridge due to us not only losing NLDS games but me also now being broke.

Is there a scenario where the Cubs could end up playing the Dodgers in the NLCS, or only the NLDS? If it's only the NLDS, then I won't be able to go to the weekend games.

I do have tickets if the Cubs go to Anaheim.

There is a very REAL chance the Cubs play LA in the NLCS. I think the post-season is going to look like this:

NY (wild card winner) vs. Chicago

Philly vs. LA

AL post-season will probably be:

Boston (wild card winner) vs. LA

Chicago vs. Tampa Bay (God, that looks WIERD typing that, let alone saying it)

Either is possible. If the Brewers get the WC, the Cubs would play the Dodgers in the NLDS. If the Mets get the WC, the Cubs would play the Mets and the Dodgers would face the Phillies in their respective NLDS match ups.

if they come to LA come early to my Hotel/Casino. We will have the pre-party and then the post party

Which is?

He works at Pechanga in Temecula, CA.

Not sure why they are the pre and post party headquarters. They really aren't all that close to LA. In fact, it's a pain in the butt to get to LA from Temecula, IMHO.

If/when the Cubs reach the World Series, three of us here are talking about driving to Chicago for the games on 10/25 and 10/26. We're not planning on being able to get tickets for the games, but just to be there would be great.
