Probably because Fox's MLB contract is insane, giving them the right to take away the viewer's choice of which game they want to watch.

if the Brewers lose and their game finishes before the Cubs game, then techinically the Cubs will not clinch on the field.

Technically, if the Brewers lose before the Cubs game is over, the Cubs will be on the field when they clinch. If this happens, I vote they break out the champagne showers in middle of the 8th or whenever.

 

Seconded. Tell the Cardinals to just leave, they can have the games by forfeit.

 

No vancejerkins, the Cubs still need to win a few games, because HFA hasn't been decided yet. And I don't know about the rest of you, but I much rather have HFA in the playoffs then play on the road.
