If you look directly at Geovany Soto, you may go blind. The human eye is not equipped to view so much awesomeness. I suggest one of those pinhole boxes that are used to view eclipses.

Might be hurt.

 

Won't be playing tonight and stopped practicing today to get his hand checked out as a precaution. Said he hurt it before he hit the HR last night, just to reaffirm his studliness.

 

As per the Score about 30 minutes ago.

If he's just now going, it can't be anything major. This could actually be a blessing in disguise, allowing him to take maybe 3-4 days off and get some much deserved rest, and be ready to roll for the playoffs.

i'm not really sure why he was gonna start anyway. he started 5 games in a row, including an extra-inning day game after a night game. the division is sewn up, basically. give the guy plenty of rest.

Just got this response from a Mexican friend of mine:

 

Soto will just do what every mexican kid did when he was little and hurt something....He will just go to his mom and his mom will tell him, "Just drink some 7-up and burp it out, Mijo."
