The CUBS have never lost a game when playing a team other than the Brewers at Miller Park.

Let's keep it that way.

Can anyone find an article that confirms that WGN will be broadcasting this game to areas other than the immediate Chicago area? My understanding is that ESPN would have to waive their exclusivity rights in order for any other games to be televised on Sunday nights.

I'm not sure ESPN has those rights. this isn't the first time more than 1 Sunday night game has been played

Still no official word on the TV situation?

If MLB doesn't allow it to be on WGN, don't expect MLB.tv either, because that will probably be also blacked out due to the Sunday Night ESPN Game.

The schedule grid on the Trib's sports page said TBD earlier. Now it says WGN. So it's looking promising. Otherwise, mlb.com has the game listed on the mlb.tv schedule for the day.

But that doesn't answer whether it's WGN Chicago or national.

I would assume it's national, because otherwise there'd be an asterisk or something I'd think

The earliest we can clinch the division is Friday vs. St. Louis

Isn't it Thursday?

--------------------------10

Brewers DH on Sunday------ (-2)

Cubs Sunday-------------- (-3)

Cubs Monday------------- (-4)

Cubs/Brewers Tuesday------ (-6)

Cubs/Brewers Wednesday---- (-8)

Cubs/Brewers Thursday----- (-10)

-------------------------

0

If you want to use that sort of math sure

Huh? They still can clinch on Thursday.

I guess it's more clear to put it this way.

The Brewers play 2 on Sunday and 3 in the Cubs series 2+3=5.

The Cubs play 2 against HOU and 3 against MIL 2+3=5.

Each time the Cubs beat the Brewers the MN goes down 2.

So:

10 (current Magic Number)

-5 (potential Brewer losses)

-5 (potential Cubs wins)

-------------------

Bruce Miles just said the game will be on WGN in Chicago but not WGN Superstation. ESPN might cover this game if the White Sox get rained out.

That sucks horribly, so WGN just loses that telecast completely? They dont get to pick up a different game or anything? *sigh* I was really hoping to be able to watch this one, its going to be painful having to listen to the Astros announcers on XM. There were already so few games being telecast on WGN this month to lose one really stinks. What are the chances that the WhiteSox get rained out? Here's hoping I guess.

I'm surprised there isn't a roll call thread. I'll be there up high in 421 behind home plate.

I thought they weren't selling upper deck tickets.

So if we're not in Chicago we don't get the game? That is lame as Howry.

Looks like it will be available on MLB.TV - you can watch the WGN feed. $8 for the game or $20 for the rest of the season.

I wish... no highspeed internet here.

I was at a wedding rehearsal dinner Thursday night, so I haven't seen a game since Wednesday. This sucks.

Anyone want to share their MLB.TV account with me for this game? You can be logged in on multiple computers at once (at least you could when I had it two years ago)!
