I cant believe I was at this game... In three weeks I got married, passed the bar exam, and saw a no-hitter live by Z.

.... but, other than that, you've not been busy at all, eh?

I'm going to have to stop by the truck stop by the interstate tomorrow and pick up a copy of the Trib and keep it for all time.

I want to show it to my unborn son when he's old enough to understand.

Oh, good call.

To the St. Louis guys reading this, do you know anywhere in West County where you can buy the Trib? Do bookstores still sell various papers?

Book stores usually do...if you can't find one out west, I know there is a newspaper shop in the Central West End right off lindell past the library next to the Chase Park Plaza that has all the newspapers from everywhere in the world....

Best Cubs game I never got to see. We went without power last night, no one had the game. Ended up picking up gamecast - sort of - on my brother's crappy cell phone. Did a little dance after the last out, but I would have LOVED to have seen this.

I don't have much to add other then, I can't believe I went to this game. My fingers were literally tingling at the end of the game. There was no feeling in them. It's a sensation that I have only experienced one other time in my life....during the 9th inning of Game 5 of the 2003 NLDS.

I was actually at the game in Arizona in 2003 when Z got robbed of a no hitter on a bad call, and I was so disappointed leaving the game, thinking I missed my chance to see a no hitter live. I also had free tickets to Buehrle's no hitter last year, but didn't go because I had a rec league basketball game, and hey its more important than the Sox. I am so lucky to have witnessed this.

Lets hope my fingers lose their feeling several more times in the next month and a half

Awesome. I was at Game 5 in Atlanta too. I was also at a Z near-no hitter at Miller Park in 2003... I think he took it into the 8th... lemme check.

EDIT - Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I remember what it was now, they got one random BS hit in the 4th inning and I was thinking the whole night about how it might've been a no hitter, hah.

Anyway, I was about to go to last night's game when Jon told us there were tickets for Tuesday at Wrigley available, so I went that route.

Screw you, Jon! :)

Let that be a lesson for you. Never ever listen to Jon.

To cap off a banner week, Carlos Zambrano was named the National League Player of the Week on Monday after tossing the Cubs' first no-hitter in over 36 years on Sunday night against the Astros in Milwaukee.

It is the first time of Zambrano's career he has received the weekly honor. For his efforts, Zambrano will receive an engraved luxury Swiss Tourneau timepiece.
