is anyone watching the tenn-cincy game? the latest ob from covington had winds of 40 mph with gusts to 70 mph. is it pretty much impossible to pass there?

 

I'm watching and yes, it's nearly impossible to pass, kick or punt.

 

There have been a combined four punts muffed due to the wind, one missed field goal and numerous wild passes thrown because of the gusts.

 

There's also trash and crap flying around the screen and the field, as well as pants and shirts fluttering crazily.

who is t. thigpen and why is he playing quarterback for the chiefs

 

He's Tyler Thigpen, a second year player from (I believe) a small school. Not sure why he's playing, other than because Damon Huard isn't a great option and Thigpen is, at least, young.

McCarthy is absolutely dismal at playing with the lead. he did the same thing last week going into hyper-conservative playcalling mode against the Vikings.

 

It is very sad, but true. As a Mizzou/Packers fan it kills me b/c Pinkel has a hard time running out the clock with a lead as well. Even though they won, just look back to the kU game last year and the Illinois game last year and this year.

Wow, Al Davis is an idiot.

 

Now, Davis is preparing to fire Kiffin as soon as Monday, regardless of how the visiting Raiders perform Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Mercury News has reported, citing several front-office sources. "You have to look at the history. History is what it is, that he doesn't keep people very long," Kiffin said Wednesday of Davis, two days after the Raiders lost their season opener 41-14 to the Denver Broncos in Oakland. "He's not the guy I hired," Davis said in mid-August, according to the report in the Bay Area newspaper.

 

Good god do I hate Al Davis.
