Ryan Freaking Dempster people, wow. With every start he makes, the dollars just keep rising and rising.

His season reminds me of Carl Pavano in 1998. I hope the rest of his career fares better.

That sounded like some good pitching by Dempster.

Good isnt the proper adjective to describe his pitching right now, or this year. If he throws strikes, he is damn near unhittable right now.

I hate to bag on Geo, but currently, he ain't much better at the plate than Kosuck.

Shake it off, Soto, just a bad stretch!

Yeah, that's just not true.

Lee tweaked something on that last K. Lets hope its not serious, because unlike what people hear would like you to believe, he would be hard to replace.

yeah, I don't know the exact numbers. But I just looked and he's getting his hits over the last 10 games.

Unless he's just taking a sample size of, oh, the last inning or so.

DeRo says keep bitching about the teams lack of power people please

The Cubs have the perfect balance of power and the ability to manufacture runs. It's probably the best mix on offense I have ever seen on a Cubs team.

They can club you with the home run or single and double you to death. Pick your posion.

Ward in at first base for the CUBS

Something Lee did during that last strikeout?

Yea he grimaced on that last K, but I hope him coming back out to the field the next inning means this is precautionary.

yeah unless my quick math is way off, Geo is hitting .370 over his last 10 games (not including today) with 10 BB

Len was saying he may have tweaked something in his shoulder, which has given him some problems over the last few years. I hadn't heard too much about that, but I wonder if it's been a lingering problem the last couple of months. May be an explanation for his inability to get loft on the ball? If so, a little rest to let the shoulder recover would be a good thing.
