In his prime, Ichiro was definitely not overrated. Now, however, I don't think anyone is saying Ichiro is still as amazing as he was in 2003, so he can't be overrated.

Please tell me you can appreciate the difference between someone setting the all-time record for hits in a season and Juan Pierre scratching out 200 hits. Those two feats are nowhere near comparable.

A career .295 EqA isn't good? He's also had three seasons over .300 EqA, topping out at .312 and never dropping below .285.

 

I don't know a lot about stats, but I'm pretty sure that's good.

He reminds me alot of Eckstein just a tough gritty lil guy giving 110%. I have always like this guy....he is my favorite Cub hence why I wear #2 and play shortstop for my softball team. Also I hit like him too....not alot of power. :lol:
