Cole Hamels vs Clayton Kershaw at Dodger Stadium should be fun.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Brewers are always playing cupcakes?

I'm getting tired of seeing people bitching about the Brewers schedule (not that you're bitching, and not that this is directed towards you). Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Cubs and Brewers basically play the same teams the same number of times this year?

With the glaring exception that the Brewers have to play the Cubs 19 times and the Cubs don't. Advantage Cubs.

More or less. The difference is we played more easy teams in the early months and Milwaukee is getting a lot of them at the end. Not convenient.

As far as "good" teams go, the Cubs have 3 vs. the Marlins, and 4 each vs. the Mets and Phillies, and The Brewers have 4 vs. The Phils and 3 each vs. the Mets and Dodgers, and we have 7 vs. eachother. we have 6 games left vs. the Cards, where as they have 2. Other than that, its all Reds, Pirates, Astros for us, with a series vs. the Nats and one @ the Braves, and the Brewers have 2 series vs. the Badres mixed in with their NL Central dregs.

So Jeff Karstens got to face the Diamondbacks last week before they got Adam Dunn and now faces the Reds this week after they got rid of Adam Dunn.

In an attempt to level the playing field against the Padres, Ned Yost is batting Gabe Kapler third and Craig Counsell sixth tonight. Counsell's starting at third with his robust .628 OPS...his SLG actually dipped below .300 in that series finale against the Nationals before that 2-RBI double got past Willie Harris.

3 run shot by Han Ram. 4-3 Fish.

Well, that was great timing...

I don't quite care enough to muster up an UGH but I'm slightly annoyed.

Rooting for the Cards tonight?

Rooting for the Cards the rest of the year, except when they face us.

6.5 games is not a ton to make up

To each his own. Personally, Id like to see them stomped into oblivion.

Yeah, I don't really know what he's talking about. A 6.5 game lead can evaporate pretty quickly.

Anyways, the Cards are 3 games up on the Marlins and are a better team as well, so I'm not sure why he's rootinf for the Cards. St. Louis is still the biggest threat to knock us out of a playoff spot altogether.
