Everything is pretty bad besides MLB...NBA is OK, but no one tries at all, NFL even more so than the NBA...I think NHL has something cool though with the skills challenge thing, but the game I think is bad

It is pretty bad, but the Pro Bowl is by far the worst of them all. Mostly because the season is over and absolutely nobody cares about football the week after the Super Bowl.

For various reasons I think all All-Star games suck. If MLB didnt bring so many players and try to get them all in, it would be ok. NBA, NHL, and NFL dont even resemble an actual game.

 

I actually enjoy college fb all-star games more than any of these. Probably because the rules may be simplified, but the players are usually giving a good effort to improve draft position.

Every year, I get excited for the various all star games, and every year after like 2 minutes I get bored. I have absolutely no idea why this happens to me every year and I don't learn but it does.

 

Although baseball is the best of the bunch. Last year's all star game was probably the most enjoyable one to watch in years, but it was probably because Dempster and Marmol got to pitch in huge situations, and because for once we thought it might actually matter a lot to the Cubs.

I sort of doubt Fedoruk will get suspended, though he should. There is absolutely no reason Walker should be suspended. The on-ice officials called it perfectly. Jovo was just being a pansy. Next time they face each other though, look out. Wherever they are, whenever it is, they are going to throw down.

re: ASG discussion earlier.

 

i used to really like it, but watching it on versus sucks. the skills competition sucks, the location sucks, everything about it sucks. one year the sound even sucked (or maybe the fans were dead -- it was in dallas so this is distinctly possible) on versus so it sounded boring.

 

i still watch the skills comp, but only after i record it so i can weed through most of it.

 

i don't like the other all-star games either. i like the home run derby, though.

I've never really enjoyed them. The only thing I liked as a kid was watching when a Cub got an at bat, but I rarely watched even those. The whole heaping of praise on guys who already get praised and worshipped daily thing just doesn't do it for me (ASG, Halls of Fame, Awards, etc).
