MY OBSERVATIONS FROM WATCHING TIVO:

 

1ST PERIOD

 

Amazing play by Havlat to set that goal up.

 

I loved seeing Toews stick up for Campbell after he got leveled after a whistle.

 

Last 10 minutes were sloppy and we spent a lot of time in the defensive zone.

 

Sure as [expletive] glad that Kane is getting this ridiculous slump out of the way.

 

2ND PERIOD

 

Unlucky penalties for Keith.

 

PP chances looked WAYYYY too sluggish.

 

PATRICK KANE... levels the [expletive] out of someone at 3:40 in open ice.

I've been watching off and on so I must have missed Kane's good shifts tonight but lately hes just stunk.

We are 10-0-0 against Canadian teams this year and I think we beat a good (tired - 3 games in 4 nights, this is the 3rd game) Flames team and go 11-0-0 againts Canadia.

 

Hawks win 5-2.

 

Again, I have to TiVo this one =( So I'll post my thoughts after it, GO HAWKS!

I used to watch games and pick out three or four players that I was going to be pissed at for this or that. A lot of times that was Havlat. But even he mixed it up last night and went crashing into the corners. Respect.

 

Otherwise, I don't have a lot to complain about from that one. Just a solid road game. Campbell looked pretty shaky in the defensive zone. The 4th line was obviously outstanding.

 

Looking forward to making it a late night tomorrow, but I'm afraid this will be one of those non-HD Canadian telecasts on Center Ice. I'd take it though if Hughson is calling the game.

Actually they play tomorrow. Still 3 games in 6 days is fairly hectic considering the long road trip.

Can't complain too much about the schedule, because there was a couple of times in the first half of the season in which the Blackhawks had 3-5 days off between games. No use in complaining of schedule when it was favorable earlier in the season.
