khabibulin was coming off 3 straight crappy years. they thought they needed a goalie and they went out and got a good one. what if they don't sign huet and then khabi plays like he hadthe previous 3 years?

 

I thought Khabibulin was fine the last three years. It was the defense that was a problem.

The defense has been bad, but that doesn't excuse Khabibulin. Come on, he's been garbage 2 out of the 3 years and just "pretty bad" in the other one.

 

Bottom line is if Khabilbulin performed like he had in the last 3 seasons, we'd have needed a goalie 10x worse than a second line center. We have enough weapons offensively. The most important thing in the playoffs is goaltending.
