I don't think you can really put any of those goals on Conklin like you can put the two Wings goals on Huet.

To be honest, it could be like 10-7 right now... unbelievable chances by both sides. The Hawks are overall dominating but I think Osgood could have maybe stopped both of Toews' goals (don't shoot me)... A veteran wouldn't have been fooled by the same move twice by Toews in his amazing goal... also, in his second goal, Osgood has quicker hands and wouldn't have gone down that quick to let Toews snipe the little opening.

They are doing a good job of keeping the shifts short near the end of the period here. That's the key with a lead like this.

I wouldn't count on that, but I do look forward to a lot more traffic in this thread once the playoff chase really gets going in February and March. Not to mention, dare I say, the playoffs.

 

That was an outstanding period. I noticed very few shifts for the 4th line, and the top three groups never looked tired because the defense did their job and didn't allow any sustained pressure. Keith had an excellent period, and for the most part, so did Seabrook. I'll even give Huet credit for the two big saves he made at the end of the period.

Nice pass on Zetterberg's goal, but again, Huet should have had it. Not a terribly difficult save to make.

It's always good to get a point against the top teams in the league, but they must start getting these extra points.

That entire 3rd period felt like a Red Wings power play. Gah, not that a point to the Wings matter because we're not really competing in their part of the division but it would be nice to get an outright win over them.
