Again, these guys are playing a hell of a game. Obviously the PK has been outstanding.

But they are just one Sens goal away from an OTL.

Mary is a dumb blonde with fake boobs.... gtfo.

You got a problem with dumb blondes with massive jugs?

Besides, you know she was randomly selected to do that contest.

Nasty like Marmol?

Okay, I have a rules question. This whole "no change after icing" thing is relatively new and I don't quite get it. While the puck is going down the ice and before it's touched up can the guys scurry off for a change so they don't get stuck? Or does everyone who was on the ice when the puck was shot down have to stay on?

From what I've seen... it's the latter... I have yet to see a change during "icing".

That's my impression too, but on TV they are never showing back up ice so I've never known for sure.

Lots of play in the Hawks zone, though that's changed over the last few minutes. Let's net a PPG here and put this one away.

Hey guys, missed the game. Judging from the box score, I'm confused. They didn't get up too many goals, so I would guess that Khabibulin is healthy and they are hiding it from the league by having him wear Huet's jersey. But Khabi can't get shutouts, he would have let one in late. So what gives?

Huet was RIDICULOUS. Was only a matter of time before he got hot.

Hawks are ranked 6th in the division with 33 points. The Flames, Ducks, and Canucks are 5,4,3 with 29 games played with 34,35,35 points respectively.

That being said... the Hawks are one win out of 3 games away from being 3rd in the conference!

Which really means they'd be 4th, no? Admittedly over the last several years I haven't paid much attention to playoff seeding. Not much reason to. But I thought the three division winners got the top three spots, regardless of points.

Anyway, tonight the Hawks get the Avs, who sit two points behind them. They are without Sakic, and it's Coach Q's return to Denver. I'll try to catch at least the third period of this one.

Caught this today in the Trib:

Stickwork: One of the three high-sticking penalties Hawks winger Patrick Kane drew during Wednesday night's 2-0 victory over the Senators wasn't much of an accident. With Ottawa's Nick Foligno bearing down on him along the boards, Kane's stick caught the Senators winger in the mouth, dropping him to the ice and drawing blood. Kane said Foligno, whom he considers a friend, had taken runs at him in back-to-back shifts and it was time to do something about it.

"You have to do things to just protect yourself," said Kane, who drew a four-minute double minor for the infraction. "The rest of the game no one really took a run at me, so maybe it sent a message.

"He was coming up high on me. I just had made a pass and my stick was in that position, [so] I just got it up there to try to protect myself. I'd rather have him take a stick in the chops than me take a stick in the chops."

Kane believes teams are coming after him more physically during his second season in the league.

"It seems like it's more this year," the 20-year-old said. "It's to be expected coming off your rookie year. [it] sends a message to maybe the other teams in the league that if they're going to keep taking runs then I'll get my stick up on them. Obviously, I'm not the biggest guy in the world where I can drop the mitts and beat [up] someone. If that's the way I have to do it, so be it."

Two things. First, Kane should be smarter than to basically admit to the press that he carved up another dude's face on purpose.

And second, that's a bitch move. Obviously, I love Kane. But that's not how you retaliate. Now, I admit, I'm not sure exactly how Kane is supposed to retaliate, given his size and lack of desire to play a physical game. Perhaps he's not supposed to. Perhaps he's supposd to leave that to Eager or Adams.

Either way, I don't like this.

I agree with you completely in this case except I kind of have to agree with Kane. Kane isn't gonna fight anyone because he's way to small and would get his ass kicked. Also, the Hawks don't have anyone out there to protect him really... with Burish not out there to get his ass kicked for everyone, teams know they can make a run at Kane because no one is going to do anything about it.

If the Hawks had a LaRaque or Orr on the team, I would call it a bitch move by Kane... but he HAS to protect himself.

EDIT: But admitting it? DUMMMMMBASS....

Right. Because the next time it happens, if the other guy is seriously cut up, Kane will get suspended. And then he'll start to get a rep, and so on...
