This is the first Hawks game I've watched wire to wire in like 2 weeks and I really really enjoyed it.

heh, but can you blame me? when i posted that they were looking atrocious and it looked like they were on their way to a 4th straight loss. then boom boom boom and a 4-2 win. it's like the team has a split personality

I'm gonna come in here and call out Huet before every one of his starts too, because was actually pretty solid tonight.

 

I maintain that Huet is the better goalie, but Khabby has played better this yr. I still think it is in the Hawks best interests to move Khabby as soon as they can, and let Huet take over the role he signed here to play. I know he hasn't given alot of people alot of confidence so far, but Huet is a confidence goalie, once he starts playing consistantly, people will have confidence in him.

 

So the Hawks need to move Khabby as soon as they can.

Yea, I agree. But, it's been the story of the season where they come out slow and terrible in the 1st period and completely turn it around in the final 40 minutes. It's not good that it happens, and it needs to be fixed... but I don't even start worrying til the 3rd period any more.

I'll take this season over previous years because they are not putting themselves in a giant hole. They played excellent hockey down the stretch last year, especially at home, and still missed the playoffs because they sucked so bad early on. That's not going to be the case this year.

 

I only got radio for Wednesday night's game, so I can't give an opinion on Huet. Wiedeman (sp?) sure thought he was better. Speaking of which, we are lucky to have Pat Foley back, but our radio guy is pretty good too.

Agreed. Turned down Blues tickets and bailing on a lame Christmas party, putting myself in mildly hot water with the soon-to-be wife in order to catch this one.
