bad calls happen ALL the time. seriously. like a few times a game.

 

anyway i looked at hfboards and quickly figured out that you're SeanAvery, and you're one of...two people complaining about the call. no mention of it on any highlights that i've seen.

 

so i repeat my previous thought: the hawks should be 15-0-0 imo.

I'm one of 3 or 4 people who were posting in that GDT.

 

After the loss the other 2-3 signed off.

 

Nothing you can do about bad calls, just sucks they happen at critical times like overtime.

 

I went ballistic on the third goal when Havlat was tripped and no call and the BLues scored, later on in the game Pat and Eddie showed the replay and even they said he was tripped.

 

Nothing you can do about the 2 first goals which were just lucky bounces that happen to both teams throughout the season.

 

At least the Hawks are still "undefeated" at home... just sucks their real record is 7-8. :)

Last night's game really pissed me off. As I said before the game, these are the ones the Hawks need to win on a consistent basis. They now have two losses against the Blues, albeit both in OT.

 

They didn't get the job done, but that penalty call on Bolland in OT was atrocious. He takes a hack near the hands and McDonald goes down in a heap like he got sawed off at the knees. That was some serious embellishment. Do they still call that?

 

Problem is that a PP in OT is killer. With just three defenders everyone can pinch in really close, which makes it far more likely a shot from the point (which is actually in the middle of the circle at that point) will go in. And that's exactly what happened.

Huet looks like he never woke up today. Giving long rebounds, failing to cover pucks in the crease, slow from post to post. Maybe he's putting too much pressure on himself with Nik playing well the last few games. Whatever the problem is, he's not playing well enough to beat a team like the Sharks.
